Cargo
rice belongs to the Indica (long-grain) category, same as White
rice. The only difference between these two varieties is the milling;
milling removes both the husk and the bran layer of the kernel.
Through the milling process, Cargo rice becomes White rice. As
a result, in Cargo rice, only the husk is removed while the bran
layer remains.
Because of the bran layer, Cargo rice contains more nutrients
than White rice. In particular, Cargo rice is very high in fiber
and vitamin B.
