Glutinous
rice, also known as sticky rice or sweet rice, consists of amylose
and amylopectin. Milky color is a unique character of Glutinous
rice.
Glutinous
rice mostly grown up in Northeastern or Northern region where
most of people in these regions consume Glutinous rice with their
main dishes. Glutinous rice can also be an ingredient in desserts,
sweets and other complimentary dishes. The most famous variety
of Glutinous rice is 'Sanpathong"
which grow mainly in the North region.
